What is an NFA item?
NFA items are firearms and accessories regulated under the National Firearms Act of 1934, including suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and machine guns. As of 2026, the $200 tax stamp only applies to machine guns and destructive devices.
How long does Form 4 processing take?
Form 4's are now electronic and typically take 1-5 business days for approval. We'll notify you immediately when your approval comes through.
Do I need an FFL dealer?
Yes, NFA items must be transferred through a licensed dealer. Type 2 NFA items require an FFL with SOT status, while Type 1 items only require a standard FFL. We ship directly to your chosen dealer anywhere in the 42 silencer-legal states.
What states allow silencer ownership?
Currently, 42 states allow civilian silencer ownership. Contact us to confirm your state's regulations and any local restrictions that may apply.
